Openers, Lifts, and Security
Keeping others out while allowing you, your family, and guests to move freely back and forth is the fundamental purpose of entry systems. Those looking for security and ease of mobility will benefit from Los Angeles Garage Doors and Gates' services. Here's a list of the major services we offer:
- Gate Operators
Gate operators are large, automatic gate openers that work by remote control. These are larger units than their "gate opener" cousins, and typically power large, heavy gates. There are sliding gate operators, swing gate operators, and less commonly, gate lift operators, which lift gates overhead. Depending on the type of gate you purchase, a gate operator may be necessary.
- Entry Systems
These can come in a variety of configurations. They are primarily code operated. A code punched into the keypad will open the gate. This is very convenient for selective access. Often, multiple codes can be programmed in, and turned on and off, according to the owner's wishes.
- Carved & Custom Wood
Wooden gates are the oldest type of gate in existence. For thousands of years, the beauty and durabilty of wood gates have provided security and aesthetic. A custom or hand carved wood gate is an incredible way to add curb appeal to your home, and offers a unique touch to the custom home. From classic to ultra-modern, wood is an excellent material to bring texture, contrast, and color, without compromising security.
- Lift vs. Swing vs. Sliding
There are many types of gates. We are most familiar with swinging and sliding gates. Swing gates can be single or double door (butterfly). Sliding gates are typically made up of a single, solid, sliding gate that retracts into a fence. Lift gates, which are not as common, actually lift off of the ground, providing entry. They are a less common option, but are available. All of these options require a gate opener or operator. Smaller gates typically run on gate openers, which are arm-like extensible motors that are installed on the inside of the gate.

- Intercom Entry Systems
These entry systems are hooked into a wireless or phone connection. They allow a phone number to be called for gate entry, if the code is unknown. This allows the owner to provide gate access without being present, and without divulging their private gate code.
